LeoLabs is built on 30+ years of R&D in radar systems and satellite tracking algorithms. The team is rapidly expanding its global radar network and data services platform to help satellite operators deploy their services safely and to empower governmental space agencies with detailed visibility into the LEO ecosystem. The Opportunity  
You will join our growing Global Sales and Services Team, which has responsibility for all aspects of LeoLabs current customers and future customers. You will work with our VP of Sales and Services, business unit leads, sales staff, and field applications engineers to help close sales opportunities and manage current customer developments.  This role will also interface with technical, product, program, and corporate management across the business including the C-Suite and VP’s as required. 

Your responsibilities on the team will include: 
• Assist with management of the Sales and Services Team. Work directly for the VP of Sales and Services and ultimately support the Global sales growth. These may be technical, managerial, sales, or business related
•Own the sales pipeline with routine status and progress updates to the CEO and CFO 
Divide and conquer internal management needs with the VP within a diverse Global Sales and Field Engineering Team. Provide internal organization and direction where required.
• Travel to and communicate virtually with staff and customers spread around the globe Being solutions orientated will be key to success 
• Able to understand system-wide technical requirements to ensure compatibility between LeoLabs internal systems and customer needs (can relate to the customer) 
• Participate in the sales cycle, help the team focus and close deals where possible. 
• Work with the customers, technical leads, team members, and management in identifying and removing customer roadblocks
• Monitor with executives, product management, and field teams to collaboration on product and feature roadmap and schedule 
 
Qualifications 
• B.S. in Astrodynamics, Aerospace, Physics, Systems Engineering or other relevant technical degree
• 5+ years experience in sales (space industry), satelliting mission management, and space satellite operations including management of deal flow or large programs. SaaS experience or ability to learn welcome 
• A manager and closer all in one
• Comfort with ambiguity, and ability to create structure where needed 
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and organizational skills 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical individuals 
• Demonstrable experience with program management tools such as JIRA, Asana, or MS Project 
• Ability to travel, including extensive international travel. Travel may exceed 50% of the time some months
 
Preferred qualifications 
• 10+ years experience with management of space aerospace programs, people, and sales   
• Experience reading customers and staff alike. Can read a room and each person within 
• Advanced degree in a relevant area of specialization or an MBA 
• Ability to follow tough technical conversations keeping top level goals and systems in mind. Can see the technical forest through the trees 
• Experience with internal sales systems like SalesForce, or willingness to learn

Within 1 month, you’ll: 
• Complete our onboarding program designed to get you up to speed on our business, vision and team 
• Gain an overall understanding the LeoLabs Sales and Services Team, its functional goods and bads
• Begin to develop a vision for direct support to the VP of Sales and Services and the greater team 
 
Within 3 months, you’ll: 
• Be fully up-to-speed on the team and VP needs and challenges 
• Develop simple tools to help team management better execute on both internal and external needs 
• Be deeply involved in a subset of customer, internal business unit, and internal technical topics
 
Within 6 months, you’ll: 
• Able to fill in for VP of Sales and Services for some activities as required
• Improvement of management tools for the Sales and Services Team as required
• Able to perform tasks supporting the business independent of management / VP
Empowered by VP and other business units to help push the entire team forward
• Solving problems without being asked
 
Within 12 months, you’ll: 
• Able to fully handle the VP of Sales and Service Job in spurts when travel dictates
Trusted by staff, VP’s and C-Suite alike
ITAR REQUIREMENTS
