OMES III Summer 2024 Intern – LEO 

Intuitive Machines is a Joint Venture owner under Space & Technology Solutions of the NASA Goddard OMES III contract and is seeking Interns in the Greenbelt Maryland area to join our mission in support of the OMES III contract at NASA.  OMES III can span various division around NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

Qualifications

  • Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant undergraduate or graduate program. Pursuing a degree in a STEM-related field, including but not limited to: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Software and adjacent degrees.
  • Skills: Strong interest in space exploration, science, and technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and programming languages may be required for certain internships.
  • Prior research experience, extracurricular activities, or participation in STEM-related projects is desirable but not always mandatory.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze information, problem-solve, and think critically.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently when required. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and clients.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and environments. Flexibility to handle changing priorities and requirements.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in completing tasks and projects.
  • Initiative: Proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative in identifying and addressing problems or opportunities.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Previous Experience: While not always required, previous internship experience or relevant work experience can be beneficial.
  • Availability: Availability to commit to the internship schedule and duration as specified by the organization.
