Position Overview:

As a Test Engineer I/II, you will have the opportunity to join our team of seasoned professionals in a dynamic testing environment. Agile Space Technologies is seeking a passionate and driven individual to add to our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge propulsion systems for space exploration.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting test operations, conducting data analysis, and assisting in the development of propulsion systems. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and work on projects at the forefront of aerospace technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in test setup, execution, and data collection for engine testing.
  • Conduct data analysis and generate test reports under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support the development and implementation of test procedures and protocols.
  • Assist in troubleshooting test anomalies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful test operations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • US Citizenship or permanent residency required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work for extended periods while wearing a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and varied hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred candidates will have completed an aerospace internship, with a focus on testing, demonstrating practical experience and a strong interest in the field.
  • Experience/knowledge of hypergolic propulsion.
  • Familiarity with test equipment and instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Understanding of propulsion system fundamentals.

Work Environment & Conditions:
The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required while performing certain tasks:

  • Safety glasses
  • Hearing protection (varies based on tasks)
  • Safety shoes
  • SCBA (respirator)

Employment Type: Exempt

Salary: $ 80,000 - $110,000

Occasional overtime to meet business needs

Salary Range for this position will be determined based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus through the company bonus program. This position may also be eligible to receive a Relocation bonus, payable as a taxable lump sum, in accordance with the Agile Relocation Policy.
