Job Overview & Responsibilities

As a Master Planner 4 at United Launch Alliance, responsibilities include:

  • Develop and support strategic scheduling activities to achieve enterprise program goals.
  • Track and drive actions required to meet or exceed schedule forecasts.
  • Conduct critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis.
  • Develop and present schedule metrics for varying levels of leadership.
  • Drive accountability on scheduling deliverables.
  • Manage schedule data for complex programs.
  • Generate reports from the IMS depicting scheduling conflicts and issues and brief stakeholders and senior management.
  • Develop and work closely with internal and external customers to fully satisfy program schedule requirements.
  • Support internal monthly and quarterly program reviews.
  • Incorporates changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each project to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
  • Recommend recoveries to schedule by way of scenario analysis and trades.
  • Strategic business partner with the Program Management Team.

Required Education

Bachelor

Required Years of Experience

Minimum of 6 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications

  • Four years of directly related exempt work experience may be used to satisfy the bachelor’s degree requirement.
  • Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques and Cost Management/Planning/Scheduling.
  • Ability to resolve and/or mitigate negative float across multiple functions.
  • Strong understanding of process flows from engineering to production to final product.
  • Understanding of:
    • Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
    • Critical Path Analysis
  • Demonstrated planning knowledge base, leadership skills, and interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Must have demonstrated the appropriate communication skills to interact successfully with program and finance leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding and experience with:
    • Deltek OPP and/or Cobra
    • MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
    • SharePoint
  • Experience with the application of EVMS/DCMA 14pts techniques.

Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver, ULA - Cape Canaveral, ULA - Decatur only): $101,993.00 - $159,403.00

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
