Salary: $60,000- $75,000

We’re looking to expand our team across the board.

York Space Systems is seeking a Production Planner 1 to support various mission planning and execution activities. This position is responsible for:

Support/manage production work orders and program demands to schedule.
Maintaining ERP system master data.
Track and report on manufacturing status including work orders and material availability.
Support upstream teams in Program Management and Engineering as well as downstream operations in Purchasing and Operations.
Support long-term initiatives such as shop floor capacity planning, inventory strategy and order policy development.

RESPONSIBLITIES

Support and manage production schedules including creating, changing, and releasing work orders.
Promptly address and resolve production issues to minimize delays in production.
Compiling status and performance reports to submit them to management and relevant departments in a timely manner in support of program on time deliverables.
Coordinate with supply chain and product management to determine program demand and appropriate inventory strategy.
Work cross functionally to understand demand drivers and create planning and execution strategies.
Liaise with the procurement team and partners to ensure on-time inventory receipts and material ESDs match program need date requirements.
Adjust programs’ scheduled dates downstream to reflect staggered demand in time and provide accurate production signals.

QUALIFICIATIONS

Ability to quickly learn operational procedures, new software, and technical subjects
Technically savvy with knowledge in MS Excel, inventory management, material flow
Experience in high volume and/or startup manufacturing Operations or the equivalent of 1-2 years of relevant experience desired
Independent decision-maker willing to work in a cross-functional team environment
Open to work off hours in support of production shifts when necessary
Clear and concise verbal communication skills
