Job Overview & Responsibilities

Become one of the most sought-after test engineers in the country. Participate in various forms of testing for United Launch Alliance.

The Pueblo Prop Shop is ULA’s primary testing facility where we design and conduct critical development and qualification tests for components and systems used in orbital launch vehicles including Delta, Atlas, and ULA's new Vulcan rocket.

Tests include structural, dynamic, cryogenic, high-pressure pneumatics/flow, destructive/non-destructive, electrical testing, and opportunities to gain project management, test engineering, and leadership experience.

Candidates will be expected to work as a part of a team, gathering requirements from assigned tests, and developing test setups that satisfy those requirements and mimic the flight like conditions that the Test Article may experience during the Vehicles flight to Orbit.

Tests can span from a few weeks to several months depending on the size and complexity, requiring each engineer to balance between hands on work (test setup build and testing) and conceptual design and team management to succeed.

Bachelor

Required Years of Experience

Minimum of 2 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field from and accredited college or university.
CAD 3D Modeling Experience.
Experience with Pneumatics or Hydraulics.
Statics and Dynamics Experience.
Basic Electrical Experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Cryogenics Experience (Liquid Nitrogen, Hydrogen or Oxygen).
Previous Test Lab Experience.
Structural Analysis.
Thermodynamics Knowledge.
Advanced Electrical.
Programming/Coding (C++, Python, Labview).
Previous experience using Instrumentation, Transducers, and Data Acquisition systems such as the following:
- Pressure, Load Cells, Strain Gages, LVDT, Thermocouples, RTDs
- Dewetron, Dewesoft, National Instruments Data Collection Systems

Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Pueblo only): $66,359.00 - $103,711.00

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
