Job description
Duties
- Collaborates on SMD engagement activities to integrate OSTEM and SMD assets to benefit stakeholders, students, and volunteers.
- Increases partnership opportunities between OSTEM and SMD.
- Consults with SMD leaders and strategists for OSTEM connections to planned STEM Engagement campaigns to reach broader audiences.
- Collaborates with SMD leaders and strategists to seek opportunities to connect SMD program milestones to national Agency STEM-focused partnerships (e.g., Discovery Education, Google, LEGO and Microsoft).
- Collaborates with SMD engagement leads (Science Activation, Messaging and Engagement, Citizen Science) to leverage OSTEM connections to reach broader audiences.
- Leverages OSTEM investments in Minority Serving Institutions and national grant opportunities such as Space Grant and Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) to broaden SMD’s reach to external audiences.
- Foster a culture of engagement, diversity, inclusiveness, excellence and innovation. Champion NASA's commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility to create an environment that promotes a commitment to safety, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications
To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:
- Collaborating with partner organizations while building trust and developing strategic recommendations;
- Participating in or leading efforts towards developing or building plans to integrate and/or connect STEM principles with other content;
- Providing strategic consultation on matters such as forecasting STEM opportunities for human spaceflight engagement.
