Our team is looking for a highly-motivated Network Specialist to support the Reagan Test Site (RTS) Engineering and Technical Services (RETS) Program.  The Network Specialist will work with a team on the range networks, support missions, maintain network device configuration baselines and provide network systems troubleshooting as required.  The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission and work to continually exceed the expectations of our customers.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for both classified and unclassified range networks.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all network devices.
  • Provide senior level troubleshooting of all networks.
  • Maintain network configuration baselines to adhere with policy, accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform improvements in accordance with policy, accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Report network issues and maintain a change log.
  • Audit and maintain active network documentation.
  • Maintain hardware inventories and ensures appropriate network device spares.
  • Perform and document periodic network performance testing.
  • Strong understanding of Multicast, 802.1x, WAN accelerators and QoS, Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Solarwinds, Active CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification, Experience supporting DoD/military networks and experience supporting RMF (Risk Management Framework) accreditations is desired.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor degree in Network Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems Management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of work experience designing, implementing, operating and troubleshooting Cisco based networks.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement, operate and troubleshoot Cisco network environments (i.e. switches, routers, firewalls, etc.).
  • Active CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification.
  • Security+ or equivalent DoD Directive 8570.07-M certification or able to obtain within 6 months of employment.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
