Job description

The SAP S/4HANA and Basis Administrator is a dual-role position responsible for the technical administration, maintenance, and support of both the SAP S/4HANA environment and the broader SAP Basis landscape (which incorporates but is not limited to SAP BTP and all associated integrations, OpenText, and Dassian). This role involves ensuring system performance, reliability, security, and continuous improvement across the entire SAP platform. This position is responsible for execution of all change management promotions through the various environments. The administrator will work closely with SAP/Dassian/OpenText functional teams, IT infrastructure teams, IT technical/development team, SAP NS2 SAAS hosting team, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance of all SAP systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain the SAP S/4HANA landscape, as well as other SAP systems within the Basis environment.
Perform installations, upgrades, and patch management for SAP S/4HANA and other SAP components.
Manage system backups, restores, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies for the entire SAP landscape. The majority of these tasks is managing this work in conjunction with NS2 BASIS team and verify the work after NS2 completes their service tickets.
Conduct system monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure high performance and minimal downtime.
Collaborate with the security team to manage user access, roles, authorizations, and compliance with security policies.
Oversee database administration, including SAP HANA, to ensure optimal performance, maintenance, and data integrity assuring the NS2 BASIS team is keeping the system optimally running.
Facilitate technical aspects of SAP module configuration, integration, and support for SAP functional teams.
Provide technical support and issue resolution for SAP S/4HANA and Basis-related user queries.
Develop, maintain, and update system documentation, technical specifications, and operating procedures.
Keep abreast of the latest SAP technologies, updates, and industry best practices to drive system improvements and innovations.
May travel to other locations as required performing related duties.
Good interpersonal relationship skills and able to work with a wide variety of technical engineers and employees.
Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours.

Must-haves:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and typically five (5) or more years of direct experience; higher education may be considered in lieu of experience.
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA and SAP Basis architecture, landscape management, and best practices.
Proficiency in SAP HANA database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of operating systems, such as Linux and Windows Server, cloud environments, and SAP Fiori/Gateway administration.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and/or SAP Basis certification is highly desirable.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:

$91,154.71 - $136,732.06
