Job description
Duties
- Assists the Branch Head with leading, supervising, and directing the civil servant and contractor workforce.
- Provides administrative support services to Langley, encompassing more than 10 unique organizational units and its tenant activities.
- Assists in the strategic management of Langley's administrative support capability, including oversight of the strategic planning, employee development, resource deployment, and budget management of administrative support activities.
- Assists with the overall operation of administrative support functions, to include liaison services for procurement and human resources, as well as delivery of clerical and secretarial support throughout Langley and its tenant program offices.
- Identifies and implements process improvements and innovative methods to increase efficiencies in customer service delivery.
- Collaborates with senior organizational leaders and managers on administrative service delivery, including understanding requirements and assessing opportunities for administrative process improvements related to office management.
- Serves as the Technical Point of Contact for the Glenn-Langley Administrative Support Services contract, and provides the Contracting Officer's Representative feedback on the performance and delivery of services and products under the contract.
- Performs a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.

- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

Qualifications
To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level.
- Developing, maintaining, or modifying administrative documentation and requirements in coordination with government, contractor, or procurement officials;
- Leading, mentoring, directing, or supervising a matrixed and blended workforce and providing services to diverse customers; and
- Applying administrative laws, policies, procedures, or regulations to develop solutions to organizational issues.
