As part of our strong growth and in order to contribute to the company's development, you will be attached to the company's technical management as an aerodynamic and thermal systems engineer, integrated into the systems department.
Your main role will be to participate in the design and development of systems and sub-systems for the company's aerospace vehicles, providing expertise on aerodynamic and thermal aspects.

Responsibilities

Tasks and missions

  • Analysing the needs and requirements of subsystems and systems and proposing innovative solutions to meet their expectations in terms of aerodynamic and thermal performance.
  • Participate in the design and numerical simulation of aerodynamic and thermal systems for the company's aerospace vehicles.
  • Participating in the design and optimisation of thermal control systems to guarantee the reliability and performance of the Zephyr launcher's systems and sub-systems.
  • To monitor sub-systems from their design stage through to their operational phase (PDR, CDR, QR, QT, QO) by taking part in studies, technical interface management and qualification.
  • Participating in the definition and coordination of tests required for the qualification of aerodynamic and thermal subsystems. Drawing up the associated test plans and compliance matrices.
  • Monitor technological developments in the field of aerodynamics and thermal engineering to propose innovations aimed at improving the performance and reliability of the company's aerospace vehicles.
  • Collaborate with the engineering, testing, and production teams to ensure the integration of aerodynamic and thermal systems into the company's aerospace vehicles.

Preferred experience and skills

  • A graduate of an engineering school or Master's degree in aeronautical or space engineering, you will have at least 5 years' significant experience in space systems engineering and the aerodynamic and thermal behaviour of aerospace vehicles.
  • Experience in the use of systems engineering tools (functional modelling, data management, requirements management, etc.) and the Siemens software suite for CAD, CFD and thermal studies is preferable.
  • You will also have good communication and collaboration skills with the engineering, testing and production teams, and be able to work as part of a team in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Thoroughness is an essential component of this position.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
