Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector, Payload and Ground Systems Division is seeking a Business Management Director 1. This position will report directly to the Division Director of Business Management for the Payload and Ground Systems Division. 

In this role, the selected candidate will have responsibility for new segment integration across the Division. In addition, this Director will be responsible for Division Scheduling, Earned Value Compliance, Independent assessments, NCTA, S4 and Digital Transformation support to Sector. The position is located in Linthicum, MD.

The successful candidate will have experience in large organizations specifically in bid/cost strategy, project planning and control, financial planning and analysis, variance analysis, capital and facilities administration, and staff management experience. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate and partner with the BU and Division Leadership
  • Frequent travel required to multiple geographic locations across the United States to ensure business process compliance
  • Participate in strategy discussions, investment decisions, business case analyses, Financial Statement and EAC analyses, project control, process improvement, and charging practice
  • Support ensuring compliance with all NG policies, internal controls, and disclosed practices

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business with 10+ years of related experience – OR – Master’s degree with 8+ years of related experience
  • Knowledge of general and corporate business practice
  • Knowledge of government contracting
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance principals
  • Experience with Financial analysis and Business Case Analysis
  • Prior people management experience
  • Experience and success advising and interacting with the highest levels of management
  • Extensive experience with EVMS
  • Experience with internal and external audit agencies
  • Current, active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business with 12+ years of related experience – OR – Master’s degree with 10+ years of related experience
  • Current, active DoD Top Secret or TS/SCI Security Clearance

Salary Range: $165,400.00 - $248,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
