a.i. solutions, Inc. seeks a highly motivated individual experienced in government contract administration. With technical knowledge, the ideal candidate will provide innovative solutions to highly complex and contractually advanced problems. This individual must be committed to accurately following tasks through to completion while demonstrating resiliency in overcoming obstacles. Primary responsibilities will involve identifying contractual risks and tracking proposed mitigations and corrective actions to closure. Responsibilities include supporting internal audits and assessments for existing contractual processes and procedures. This role provides contract compliance guidance and leadership to division leads and senior management. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions’ mission and work to continually exceed the expectations of our customers.
Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
- Recognized as a subject matter expert in the field of government acquisitions and federal contract management
- Matrixed position reporting to the Director of Contracts and assigned Division Director(s).
- Serves as a senior-level professional responsible for all aspects of contract management, including work standards, schedules, and execution.
- Prepare and conduct training within all company levels regarding legal and contract subjects to include, but not limited to GAO Bid Protests and Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI).
- Provide full-cycle contract administration support to the Mission Services Operating Unit, supporting various agencies, including NASA, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, and the Missile Defense Agency.
- Provide support to the Space Products and Services Operating Unit, supporting commercial and government contracting vehicles.
- Proficient in dealing with routine as well as non-routine contract actions
- Oversees the preparation of reviews, negotiates, and executes (within authority level) contract amendments, modifications, change orders, and new work orders.
- Responsible for negotiation of commercial software licenses, reseller agreements, and contracts for services, materials, and equipment required for contract execution both as a prime contractor and as a subcontractor
- Analyzes requirements, recommends revisions to the contract and supporting documentation, determines contract type, form, and special provisions, prepares all acquisition-related documentation, and responds to inquiries.
- Prepares solicitation documents, including a draft contract with special provisions unique to that acquisition.
- Issues requests for proposals and analyzes proposals for conformance with the solicitation.
- Awards contracts and monitors performance. Includes review and analysis of financial management reports, costs of work performed versus the contract value of work performed, determines causes of variances, and initiates and monitors corrective actions.
- Issues contract change direction, establishes pre-negotiation and profit/fee objectives, conducts negotiations, and prepares and executes or recommends execution of contract modifications, defining changes negotiated
- Interprets contract provisions and provides appropriate advice and guidance, closes out contracts
- Ensure adherence to company purchasing and subcontracting policies and procedures
- Available to travel approximately once a quarter or more frequently as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or master’s degree from an accredited college or university
- 12+ years of relevant experience providing government contract management support in a NASA or DoD program environment.
- Ability to obtain a DoD secret security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship
