The Position

We’re on the hunt for an Engineering Student to assist with Digital Systems HDL/ CCA design and/or Firmware Verification on our Robotics & Space Operations team at our Brampton office. This is a 12-16 months term starting in May 2024.

As our Engineering Student you will work in the Logistics & Sustaining Engineering (L&SE) program (to support On-Orbit Space Station activities), and/or Gateway External Robotics System, and/or R&D activities.

Responsibilities

• Development and verification of custom IP-blocks and FPGA subsystems
• Development and execution of verification test plans
• Hands on hardware testing and debug on custom designed hardware
• Writing design documentation and test reports
• Fluent knowledge of Xilinx Vivado Tools is an asset
• Experience of Libero tools from (Actel/Microsemi/Microchip) is an asset
• Experience with ModelSim Simulation tools is an asset
• Must have knowledge and experience using electronic test equipment
• Detail oriented and organized
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Requirements

Interested candidates must be enrolled and have completed 2 years in a Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering.

The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to work in a team environment.

 

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
