We’re on the hunt for an Engineering Student for our Systems Design Engineering Department at our Brampton office. 

Overall the successful candidate would be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date. This is an 8 month term (other terms available) starting in May 2024.

As an Engineering Student, you will work together with senior systems engineers on space and planetary exploration robotic projects as well as departmental continuous improvement initiatives and process improvements.


Responsibilities:

  • mathematical modelling
  • system requirements derivation and writing
  • system level design trades
  • system budgeting
  • general support to the rest of the engineering team.
  • document work and participate in system level technical discussions when required.


Qualifications:

Interested candidates should be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Engineering Physics, or Computer Engineering and/or Applied Mathematics or Physics with three (3) years completed. 

  • Students must be enrolled in their university’s formal internship program. 
  • The student should possess strong mathematical skills and experience in system design and modelling.
  • A strong ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as a member of a team is required.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills are essential to this position

 

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
