Cyber Security Engineer

We are looking to hire a Cyber Security Engineer with an analytical mind and a detailed understanding of cybersecurity methodologies. Cyber security engineers are expected to have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure, and deliver on tight deadlines.

Cyber Security Engineer Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of the Space Segment and Ground Segment Architectures.
• Identify and define system security requirements.
• Design system security architecture and develop cyber security designs.
• Security Risk Assessment.
• Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing.   Conducting testing and scans to identify any vulnerabilities in the network, equipment and integrated system .
• Develop technical solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Prepare and document security operating procedures and protocols.
• Write reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement.

Cyber Security Engineer Requirements:

• Master degree in Engineering with specialization in Information and Communication Technologies or Electronics, Telecommunications ,Computer Science.
• Course of study aimed at learning topics such as: Navigation, Observation and Telecommunication Satellites, communication links, communication protocols, protection of telecommunications networks, cyber security, risk assessment, cryptography and big data processing;
• At least 3 years of work experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer.
• Experience in building and maintaining security architecture.
• Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems,  authentication systems, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, risk assessment, cryptographic techniques, key management and  National Security Certifications (Common Criteria, TEMPEST and Cryptosec) etc.
• A good knowledge of English language, written and spoken, is required.
• Knowledge on security framework: NIST, ISO 2700x, EU Security Directives, National Cybersecurity Framework.
