We’re on the hunt for a Junior Shipper - Receiver on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role:

Performs various tasks related to the planning and control of shipping/receiving. In addition, may be required to perform the duties of a production clerk and general helper.

 

Level of Responsibility: Well established work processes and duties. Some analysis is required before independently selecting from known processes.

 

Tasks:

  • Receives merchandise at the loading docks or in the yard.
  • Receive merchandise into the company system.
  • Communicate and follow up on any receiving problems.
  • Pack goods and complete shipping documents according to specifications.
  • Monitor and make purchase requests for receiving, shipping and packaging materials.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments.
  • Provide customers with packing and shipping quotes.
  • Deliver merchandise to internal customers.
  • Write receiving and shipping reports
  • Pick up and distribute lab coats.
  • Inspect and clean shipping containers
  • Operate and inspect appropriate transportation equipment (engineering, forklift, overhead crane, ...).
  • All other related tasks.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, diploma of vocational studies or equivalent combined with 1 - 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid skills cards.
  • Reading of blueprints.
  • Ability to retrieve and enter data using a computer system.
  • Use of production databases.
  • Good knowledge of French. Basic knowledge of English is an asset.
  • Manual dexterity.

 

Work hours:  8:30am - 4:30pm

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
