What You’ll Do:

As Slingshot Aerospace’s Talent Acquisition Manager, you will implement talent strategies that support our business objectives and organizational growth.  Focuses include employment branding, sourcing and managing talent pipelines, candidate engagement, selection, and workforce planning for all roles at Slingshot Aerospace. 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Executes all job duties in alignment with Slingshot Aerospace’s core values, mission, and purpose
  • Acts ethically, with integrity, and complies with legal standards to deliver an environment that promotes respect, innovation, and creativity 
  • Manages and fills all open requisitions in coordination with budget dates to enable global growth
  • Ensures compliance with the company talent acquisition program to mitigate risk and support an exceptional candidate experience
  • Leads, develops, and motivates a team of talent acquisition professionals to bring the best talent to Slingshot Aerospace
  • Partners with hiring managers and stakeholders to enhance and maintain relationships with organizations and partnerships focused on equity, inclusion, diversity, and belonging (EIDB)
  • Consults and collaborates with business leaders and colleagues to create workforce plans and talent forecasts that support our company’s growth plans
  • Manages our talent staffing plan, ensuring the tactical and logistical execution of that plan by creating and documenting effective processes and partnering with staffing managers and stakeholders while leveraging internal resources, contractors and external vendors
  • Develops systems and processes to maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future consideration to decrease our time to fill goals
  • Tracks and reports talent metrics to measure and continuously improve performance and optimize processes and systems 
  • Cultivates and leverages talent communities through relationships with employment agencies, search firms, non-profit organizations, and other talent channels to ensure access to a well-qualified and diverse pipeline of candidates 
  • Leads our campus recruiting efforts and builds and maintains relationships with career services staff, professors, and student groups to support internship programming
  • Enhances our employment brand through programs and campaigns that highlight the company’s employment value proposition
  • In coordination with the People and Culture team, executes events for office and remote staff that align with engagement and inclusion strategies to help attract and retain employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned (to be less than 10% of your responsibilities) 

Pre-Requisites

  • Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for government clearances
  • The ability to travel up to 20% of the time 

Minimum Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience partnering with hiring managers to coach/counsel on hiring best practices and talent management 
  • 2+ years of experience in a Technical Recruiting role
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate Talent Acquisition, successfully attracting and onboarding talent in a highly competitive, high-growth environment 
  • 2+ years of experience using an applicant tracking system and LinkedIn Recruiter 
  • Knowledge of specialized sourcing strategies to proactively develop candidate pipelines that generate sufficient quantity and quality to meet business in a cost-effective manner 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate at multiple levels of the organization
  • A high degree of accuracy, care, and attention to detail 
  • Exceptional client relationship skills and demonstrated experience developing consultative relationships and building credibility with line leaders 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience leading a team of corporate talent acquisition professionals to meet hiring needs
  • Experience leading talent global attraction and acquisition efforts, specifically in the United Kingdom 
  • Experience with Jira Service Desk, the Atlassian suite, Rippling, and Greenhouse 
  • Experience with a fast-paced, early-stage startup

Classification: Full-time Exempt (executive exemption)

Compensation: $105,000-$145,000
