Embark on an extraordinary journey as a DevSecSOps Systems Administrator with an exciting mission! We're on the lookout for cleared IT Techs and LINUX Sys Admins to join our amazing team to support the US DoD and Intelligence Community.   Elevate your career with us as you help ensure our intel analysts have access to our software tools.   Some user quotes said this project is “providing some of the most capable ...resources in the IC” and “inspires and empowers other commands, services, and agencies across the Intelligence Community.”    

Bonus: This position provides exposure and mentoring with seasoned DevSecOps Engineers pros, so you can learn a lot and later on continue to explore more of the exciting DevSecOps field.   

Note: US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory for this position and required for consideration. (Open to acquire CI Poly required).

Location

  • Primary: Virginia (Herndon, Springfield Customer Site), Michigan (Ypsilanti), Missouri (St Louis) 
  • Secondary Location considered:   Missouri (St Louis), Colorado (Westminster) 
  • This position requires evening or overnight as the core work hours and some on-call duties.

Estimated Work Hours:

  • Sun-Thurs (12am - 8am ET flex to 40 hrs/wk)
  • Sun-Thurs (4pm - 11:59pm ET flex to 40 hrs/wk)
  • Pay differential for non-daytime hours.
  • Corporate Holidays off with pay, but there may be shared on-call responsibilities with larger team. 

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Follow daily checklists to monitor system status
    • Ensure system uptime by following documented status checklists, System Operating Procedures (SOPs), and reach-back to Factory Team
    • Perform system backups and recovery as needed
    • Support system updates for security compliance
  • Work effectively in a small team in a truly collaborative environment
  • This position requires availability to work evening or night hours for minimum of 15 months.

Skills Required:

  • 4+ years of experience supporting IT or mission operations in DoD or IC environment
    • 8 years w/o degree; 6 years w/ Associates, or +4 w/ Bachelors
  • Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, correction, and LINUX
  • Willingness to work onsite 100% Sun-Thurs evenings or overnight (or as needs dictate)
  • Good attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Be a team player with mindset for mission operations and customer support
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship

Skills Desired (or the desire to learn with us)

  • CompTIA Security+ or other sysadmin professional certifications (or willingness to acquire within 90 days of onboarding)
  • Experience in/or supporting military/intelligence or knowledge of some defense systems is a plus!

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$87,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually.
