WHAT IS THE GRADUATE PROGRAMME?

Our Graduate Programme is a two year programme, in which you will be able to expand on the skills and knowledge gained through your degree, whilst having the opportunity to be mentored on-the-job by some of our most experienced employees. The IT Business Systems Graduate will gain experience through developing solutions for use across the Enterprise and within specific areas of the business.

During the programme you will get the opportunity to:

  • Develop, Deploy and Support a wide range of applications
  • Write software, documentation and operating manuals
  • Research and examine current systems and consulting with users
  • Test and modify systems to ensure that they operate reliably

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Competent problem solving / troubleshooting skills
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative and in a busy environment
  • Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Display logical and analytical skills
  • Is capable of working without supervision, and can take responsibility for deliverables
  • Where necessary, provide support to the Service Desk and Infrastructure Teams team to help resolve technical problems

WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?

  • Business Computing, Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering or studying for other computing qualifications an advantage

Knowledge in the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Operating Systems (e.g. Microsoft and Linux)
  • Software Development processes (e.g. Rapid, TDD, Staged Delivery, Agile, Scrum)
  • Web technologies(e.g. HTML, JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework/ORM, Data Warehousing, Data Analytics)
  • Programming languages (e.g. TCL/TK, Perl, VB, Linux scripting, C#, VB.Net)
  • The Graduate Position start date is September 2024.

Location

This role will be primarily based in Guildford with some flexibility to work remotely when required.
