Description:The Sr. Quality Engineer will oversee the quality engineering functions for the Receiving Inspection department in the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program located in Titusville, Florida.

The schedule for this role will be 1st Shift - 9x80B.

*Must be able to obtain Top Secret Clearance (No clearance to start)

*US Citizen is required

Must have the ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This role will be responsible for the following:

Applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.

Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.

Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.

Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.

Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.

Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.

Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related
discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Quality experience in a test or production environment
- Proficiency with discrepancy documents, SAP or other
databases
- Experience with data analytics to report trends and achieve
results, drive improvements and efficiencies
- Must have the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
- Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a
technical discipline (STEM)
- Mechanical background
- FBM Program experience with related discrepancy
documents/processes
- Receiving Inspection Quality experience
- Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt or higher certification
- Advanced SAP skills
- Familiarity with measuring equipment such as: CMM,
Optical Comparator, Calipers, Micrometers, Thread
Gages, etc.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
