Description

Star Catcher Industries, Inc., located in Jacksonville, FL, has an opportunity for an Engineering Intern to support the development of space-to-space power beaming spacecraft and the Star Catcher Network, its orbital power grid. This role will support our engineering team in a wide range of exciting projects related to space technologies and space systems. You will work closely with our engineering team, contributing to the development, testing, and optimization of various space-related components and systems. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for you to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting, collaborate on interdisciplinary teams, and gain valuable experience in the space industry.

Ideal Experience:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Opical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools (e.g., MATLAB, SolidWorks, Python, CAD, etc.).
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Passion for space, technology, and innovation.

Preferred:

  • Previous internship or hands-on project experience.
  • Familiarity with spacecraft systems.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
