Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Principal DevSecOps Engineer / Sr Principal DevSecOps Engineer in support of the Sentinel program.  Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure.  This position is located: Roy, Utah, Huntsville, AL, or Bellevue, NE.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What you will get to do, specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

• Drive unification and automation of processes to enable development of software capability

• Actively interface with DevOps and engineering teams to coordinate and optimize the steps that execute within the DevOps ecosystem

• Develop or integrate with automated Continuous Integration (CI) build processes

• Develop or integrate with containers and containerization technologies

• Provide automation configuration with tools like Ansible

• Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python

• Utilize/value static Analysis tools (such as SonarQube, Fortify, Coverity, CodeSonar)

• Utilize Version Control tools (such as git)

• Enable and lead Agile management and collaboration, leveraging tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitLab

• Learn new technologies and tools to enable rapid and secure, scalable capability

Candidate should have:

• Experience with DevSecOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery

• Experience with configuration management and version control tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, others)

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and/or other cloud orchestration technologies

• Experience with automation configuration with tools like Ansible or others to automate build and configuration processes

• Programming and scripting experience in a UNIX environment (C++, Perl, Python, Bash, Ruby, Shell, Scripts)

• Experience with static analysis tools (SonarQube, Fortify, Coverity, CodeSonar)

• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems

• Experience with leveraging tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitLab

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming), Scaled Agile Framework SAFe for Lean Enterprises

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications: 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Principal DevSecOps Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelor’s in Science, 3 Years with Masters, 0 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• Sr. Principal DevSecOps Engineer: 9 Years with Bachelor’s in Science, 7 Years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a US Citizen and ability to obtain & maintain a DOD Secret Clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.​
• Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• At least one year experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
• Ability to write or review software code (Java, Python, etc)

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Experience with configuration management tools, i.e., Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, others
• Familiarity with branching strategies, gated commits, source-controlled management, etc.
• Atlassian JIRA or other defect tracking tool experience
• Atlassian Confluence, GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, and Nexus repository experience
• Familiarity with security coding standard best practices, static and dynamic scanning tools, i.e., SonarQube, Fortify, Coverity, PCLint, etc.
• Programming and scripting experience in a UNIX environment (C++, Perl, Python, Bash, Ruby, Shell, Scripts)
• Programming and scripting experience in a Windows environment
• Experience with Containerization tools such as Docker and/or Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD best practices, automated builds and tests, quality gates, software quality, and CI tools, i.e., Jenkins

Salary Range: $92,600.00 - $153,600.00Salary Range 2: $114,900.00 - $190,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
