The Role:

We are on the hunt for an Intermediate Cost and Schedule Analyst on our Robotics & Space Operations team at our Brampton office.

As our Intermediate Cost and Schedule Analyst, you will be reporting to the PP&C Manager.  The role is responsible for developing, updating, and monitoring a program Performance Measurement Baseline, to ensure that timely and accurate cost and schedule analysis is performed to optimize profitability. This role demands intermediate level skills in Planning, Scheduling, and Program Management principles.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Program Manager to understand program execution plan and transition into an integrated, resource-loaded schedule
  • Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Accounts (CCN)
  • Establish and maintain the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB)
  • Maintain the PMB with the incorporation of any Approval Change of Scope (CSPs).
  • Monitor and forecast customer and supplier milestones
  • Conduct program procurement assessment
  • Conduct program risk assessment
  • Maintain and monitor detailed Costs/Schedules (C/S) on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
  • Establish new forecasts and Estimates at Completion (EAC) on a regular basis (monthly).
  • Provide detailed C/S variance analysis and C/S performance indexes from the Earned Value application principles.
  • Identify potential problem areas and support any corrective actions, when required.
  • Support front-end-of-the-business through cost estimation and pricing projects.
  • Provide reliable planning, scheduling, financial, performance measurement and risk mitigation services to company’s stakeholders in order to achieve optimal profitability.
  • Alert program managers and senior management about potential issues ahead of execution based on trends and propose corrective actions.

Job Education and Experience:

  • Graduate in Business, Engineering, Finance, Accounting or Mathematics
  • Minimum 2+ years of industry experience in a planner/scheduler role or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of Earned Value Management, project performance reporting and articulately explain variances and propose corrective actions
  • Strong understanding of PMBOK principles from PMI or Total Cost Management of AACE.
  • Certified Scheduling Technician (CST) from AACE or CAPM (PMI) accreditation is desirable.
  • General knowledge of contract terms & conditions and their relation to project accounting and planning.
  • General knowledge of accounting and financial principles.
  • Working experience of Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools, Risk tools, MS Excel, and ERP system
