SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
Create FPGA solutions to support software defined radio satellite communication systems. The FPGA engineer will work with cross functional engineering teams to define, implement, and create RTL modules. Roll includes supporting design integrations and hardware bring up. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to think creatively and to operate within a flexible, fast-paced program dedicated to advancing product development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Implement and verify designs to meet the provided specification.
- Facilitate integration of modules into larger systems
- Produce detailed design and test documentation
- Own and maintain chip level designs
- Debug and test designs running in hardware using a combination of FPGA debug tools and electrical test and measurement equipment
- Adhere to team guidelines on best practices including use of meta source control and participation in design reviews
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- 5+ years experience writing RTL for FPGA or ASIC designs
- Experience with RTL Languages: Verilog, VHDL, or Systemverilog
- Experience with FPGA Tools: Vivado, Quartus, Radiant, Diamond, or equivalent
- Experience with Simulation Tools: Cadence Xcelium, Siemens Questa/Modelsim, Synopsys VCS, or equivalent
Preferred
- Proficient with Linux command line and comfortable running on headless systems.
- Experience with embedded programming using C, or C++.
- Experience with scripted tool flows using TCL, Python or Bash.
- Experience with SystemVerilog implementation using interfaces, logic, and custom types
- Experience with SystemVerilog verification including class based testbench design (such as UVM) and constrained random testing
- Knowledge of streaming video protocols (MIPI, AXI-Stream, etc.)
- Knowledge of memory mapped bus interfaces (PCIe, AXI4-Stream, AHB, etc.)

Washington state pay range: $130,000 to $170,000
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
