We are seeking a talented Experienced IP Strategy & Protection Specialist candidate to support Boeing teams in Japan.  This position will provide IP transactional support and facilitate technology transfer between Boeing and the Government of Japan or with academia and industry.  Additionally, working together with technical leaders and principal investigators to capture and protect Boeing IP.  The position requires close collaboration and frequent communication across the Boeing enterprise including leaders within our engineering and technology divisions and all Business Units.  Successful candidate will work with the Boeing Intellectual Property (BIP) Leadership, the Law Department, Engineering, and Business Unit Leaders to ensure the Boeing Company is capturing, protecting, and enabling our patent portfolio and trade secrets.

This position will report to the BIP Global Director.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Serve as local point of contact for IP rights inquiries and advice.

Facilitate release of IP between the US to Boeing Japan, Government of Japan, or academia/industry.

Coordinate the development of an IP Strategy to support collaboration or technology development.

Work together with technical leaders and principal investigators to capture and review invention disclosures.

Work together with the businesses to ensure compliance with Boeing IP strategy and broader Boeing IP policies.

Advising the business on application of processes and tools for managing and protecting IP, including the management of trade secrets and other proprietary information.

To be successful in this role you will need:

Some with IP transactional support, IP licensing, or IP contracts.

Requires analytical skills, critical thinking, confidence and cross functional relationship building, strong communication, as well as a self-motivated and persuasive personality with a positive attitude.

Experience working with processes and procedures for creation of Intellectual Property (IP), rights, and the legal status of various forms of IP (e.g., patent prosecution and registration, trademark registration, copyright ownership, trade secret protection, etc.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

More than 5 years experiences related on responsibilities.

Business level speaking and written in both Japanese and English

Bachelor’s degree in or related field. Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

More than a year related experiences working at foreign company or abroad.

Having related experiences in manufacture company

Having experiences making domestic patent registration.

Native level speaking and written in Japanese.

Fluent both speaking and written in English

Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking.

Outstanding communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work on multiple work items and balance priorities whilst delivering to strict deadlines.

Ability to manage complex projects and a large volume of matters, meet deadlines, and prioritize as needed.

Qualified candidate must have a global mindset and participate in U.S. based team's meetings.

Typical Education & Experience:

Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

-企業機密情報、特許権情報管理を含む知的財産管理におけるプロセスやツールの導入におけるビジネス側への助言。

-特許出願取得における取りまとめ、実行

-既存の知的財産管理における情報更新

-ビジネス運営における知的財産管理の策定、助言。

-ボーイング全体の知的財産管理ポリシーに沿った法令順守

-知的財産管理における法制度改定の確認、変更対応。

-知的財産管理における社内意識改革のためのトレーニング制度の開発、実行

求められるスキル（必須スキル・経験）：

• 5年以上の関連業務経験

• ビジネスレベルの日本語、英語

あれば望ましいスキル (望ましいスキル/経験):

・海外もしくは外資系企業における1年以上の業務経験

・製造業における類似の業務経験

・国内特許出願のご経験

・ネイティブレベルの日本語及び英語

望ましい学歴:

大学卒業以上（学士号など)で、 上記に関連する実務経験が5年以上ある方

勤務地：

採用後はボーイング・ジャパンの東京/名古屋/大阪（関西エリア含む）オフィスにて勤務していただきます
