ispace Technologies U.S. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Sales Lead.

The Sales Lead will report into the North American Sales Manager and is responsible for discovering and prioritizing our target customers and exploring the best route to create relationships and close sales as a part of our global strategy. The successful candidate will be capable of taking initiative and action in establishing sales contacts through referrals, seminars, social networking, cold calls etc. The Sales Lead should be able to assess the customer needs while working with ispace key stakeholders to ensure we are building to the technical requirements of our lander/rover needs within the existing ispace business model and budget. Candidates should possess a proven record of working amongst all stages of the sales cycle, effectively communicating, managing relationships and leveraging his/her network to close sales.

While you will be an instrumental member of a small team in the U.S., you will join an international team and be expected to work with colleagues from around the world. Teamwork is a must. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are necessary. You must be self-motivated and comfortable making decisions within a fast-paced environment, as well as have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Based on the business strategy, build sales network, prioritizing target leads and customers.
  • Take initiative and action in establishing sales contacts through referrals, seminars, conferences cold calls etc.
  • Conduct business and financial analysis of our target customers and build custom proposals.
  • Generate and close sales and hit sales metrics and goals by engaging key decision makers and understanding customer needs.
  • Work with the business team, engineer team, and procurement team to ensure we are meeting technical requirements for our lander/rover mission, staying within budget requirements, and providing feedback on customer payload considerations.
  • Create various technical documents, sales pitches, and presentations.
  • Draft sales contracts and be able to explain contents to ispace customers and gather all necessary signatures.
  • Identify and follow up on the performance obligations of both parties in accordance with the contract.
  • Manage progress of customer payload readiness and keep track of ispace development status and schedule and adjust customer expectations as needed.
  • Ensure all customer payments have been received.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years experience in Aerospace & Defense Sales, Business Development, or related industries
  • A bachelors degree in Arts, Business, or related technical fields
  • Highly motivated with proven track record in sales
  • Broad technical understanding, including space technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Experience in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PPT
  • Independent, structured and result-oriented way of working
  • Open-minded, team-oriented and flexible
