What You’ll Do: 

As R&D Junior Engineer, within the Engineering Department, your main missions will be:

• Participate in a number of satellite telecommunications R&D projects
• Provide rigorous, well-argued analyses of technical issues relating to various satellite transmission protocols.
• Ensure the quality of the work and the documents produced.
• Be responsible for evaluating the latest satellite communication technologies using digital simulations and real satellite transmission tests.
• Provide suggestions for possible improvements to be incorporated into the new technologies developed in the team's various R&D projects.
• Managing the planning and execution of transmission tests on GEO and LEO satellites in the Eutelsat fleet.

 

What it Takes: 

• Engineering degree (BAC+5) or equivalent, specialising in Networks and Telecommunications
• You have 0 to 5 years' experience in satellite telecommunications or a similar position
• You have knowledge of the various fields of space telecommunications and of scientific computing tools (such as MATLAB)
• You are flexible enough to adapt to new R&D projects launched within the team
• You have good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team
• You have a good level of professional English

 

What We’d Love:

Knowledge of 5G, specific satellite technologies and IP networks and protocols is a plus.

 

Where You’ll Be: 

The position is based at Issy les Moulineaux, Paris Area, France: modern offices just on the edge of Paris.
