Flight Dynamics Engineer [F/M]

Job Description 👨‍💻

Reporting to the spaceguard™ product manager and team lead the role is that of a smart, self-motivated Flight Dynamics Engineer on the product, the defense focused Space Situation Awareness software), including:
📌screening of data catalogs to detect conjunction risks, detect maneuvers and insertion in plane
📌analyze data to characterize propulsions systems, maneuvers and pattern of life
📌simulate and anticipate situations involving maneuvering satellites
📌provide decision support for threat analysis and evasive maneuvers

As a Flight Dynamics Engineer you will be part of the team developing developing the spaceguard™ product. This implies frontend and backend developments, with a focus on the user experience. You will participate to product demonstrations and provide technical support to users.

This job includes the following activities:
📌Design and implement flight dynamics features both in backend and frontend, including tests
📌Work closely with the product manager to understand user needs and propose technical solutions
📌Participate to the building of the technical roadmap and the planification of the sprints
📌Collaborate actively with the other technical team members: peer programming, code review, technical watch, ...
📌Validation of the space mechanics concepts involved to provide robust features

In coordination with and under the supervision of the team lead, the role will also include:
📌 Scrum master: animate the team process, ensure that the team work is efficient and is continuously improving
📌 Artificial intelligence development on machine learning algorithms

The activity is based on Agile principles, Agile principles, allowing to progress at a fast pace with a customer-oriented approach. Our teams are cross-functional, self-organizing and highly autonomous. You will be working directly with our Product Managers and stakeholders in a highly collaborative manner. This approach requires a huge amount of teamwork and maturity and is not right for everyone, but we believe it is the best way to create great software.

Experience with the following technical stack:

- Orekit
- backend in Java/Springboot
- frontend in Javascript/Typesript/VueJS
- Mongo databases
- Python
