Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to join our growing team. Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Marketing will be responsible for the smooth implementation and operations of the Marketing Department. The Director of Marketing will collaborate with the business team to uncover insights and strategies to develop and implement marketing and branding strategies for new and existing products, internally and externally. You will work on designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's branding to protect Terran Orbital's image. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in marketing and a proven track record of successfully integrating marketing and branding strategies.


Key Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy to create awareness of the company’s products and services
  • Lead and oversee the marketing department, including management of the marketing budget, consistently identifying revenue opportunities
  • Organize and oversee company conferences, trade shows, major events, and promotional events
  • Represent the company and form strategic partnerships with media, oversee public relations efforts, and write press releases
  • Build and manage effective demand-generation campaigns to support future growth through new business
  • Identify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual marketing budget, profit/loss projections, expenditure spending, and other financial considerations
  • Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends to translate results into actionable insights for the marketing team
  • Create and manage advertising campaigns, including drafting creative and copy
  • Report on business results from demand-generation activities
  • Oversee social media marketing strategy and content marketing
  • Create marketing materials, including product guides, case studies, and white papers
  • Perform additional tasks as needed
Qualifications and Skills 
  • Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 10 years of related work experience in marketing and running a marketing team
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Proven marketing campaign experience
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage budgets
  • Professional and proactive work ethic
  • High competence in project and stakeholder management
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

Additional Differentiators 
  • Master’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications
  • Established a portfolio of media and PR contacts
  • Experience in aerospace, technology, government, or commercial space companies
  • US government-issued security clearance at the Secret or Top Secret/SCI levels
  • Desire to learn new skills as required and develop expertise in areas that may be unfamiliar

Physical Demands 

An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require lifting or moving objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds. This position is generally sedentary, with substantial computer usage.

Work Environment 

This job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
