As a Logistics Manager, you'll be a critical pillar of the Firefly Supply Chain & Inventory Management Team. Step up, contribute meaningfully, and shape the future with us.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Logistics efforts with Production and R & D teams.
  • Manage inbound, outbound, and direct ship efforts.
  • Handle import and export shipments to ensure export-control compliance and prevent issues with customs agencies.
  • Selecting appropriate transportation methods, optimizing delivery routes, and balance cost and timely delivery.
  • Manage, audit, and select logistics partners to achieve Firefly objectives.
  • Coordinate agreements and contract negotiation with logistics providers.
  • Track and assign logistics and expediting costs by program and project.
  • Work closely with shippers, logistics providers, requestors, compliance, and regulatory bodies to ensure safe and timely transport of shipments.
  • Regularly review, update, and communicate packaging requirements and standards.
  • Champion proper packaging and handling of Firefly goods for both internal and external transport.
  • Oversee freight incident reporting and insurance claims related to transportation of goods.
  • Evaluate past deliveries and logistics performance to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Implement and integrate systems for planning, tracking, and managing logistics data and administrative functions.
  • Process shipping requests and troubleshoot exceptions as necessary.
  • Define proper requirements for hazardous materials transport and ensure compliance of Firefly personnel and logistics partners.
  • Shepherd high-priority logistics needs and shipping escalations through delivery.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction ratings and drive improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 7+ years of logistics management or equivalent experience
  • BA, BS in related field
  • Great project management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to back up conclusions with data
  • Time management skills, with the ability to separate the important tasks from the noise
  • Sense of urgency, with the ability to work well under pressure and complete tasks on-time
  • MS Office (including Excel, Word & Outlook)
  • Software operation and data entry skills
  • Possess a valid “Real ID” driver’s license, and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass Air Force background checks
  • Physical stamina to perform regular duties, including
    • Lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds
    • Stand for long periods of time
    • Crouch, bend, and reach

Desired

  • Aerospace Industry experience
  • Odoo ERP/MRP knowledge.
  • ITAR experience.
  • Experience in R&D, Proto-typing and test environment a plus.
  • Experience in AS9100 environment.
