🛠️ Industrial Designer

As an Industrial Designer, you will join the mechanical design office. Under the supervision of a mechanical engineer or the Head of the Design Office, your responsibilities will include:

🔧 Main Responsibilities

  • Create 3D models of mechanical components using SolidWorks
  • Produce 2D technical drawings with functional dimensions and tolerances
  • Contribute to design reviews, proposing improvements considering manufacturing, assembly, and environmental constraints (vacuum, thermal, vibration, etc.)
  • Update the technical documentation database (BOMs, revisions, configurations)
  • Work closely with R&D, production, and purchasing teams to ensure the feasibility and industrialization of parts
  • Prepare files for additive manufacturing, machining, sheet metal, etc.
  • Prepare the necessary inspection documents for part verification
  • Participate in design reviews, prototyping, and testing phases

🎯 Profile

Education:
Bac +2/+3 (equivalent to a 2- or 3-year technical degree) such as BTS in Product Design, DUT in Mechanical Engineering, or a Bachelor's in CAD/Mechanical Design.

Experience:
2 to 5 years in a similar role, preferably in high-demand sectors such as aerospace, defense, automotive, or energy.

🧠 Technical Skills

  • Proficient in SolidWorks (multi-body modeling, complex assemblies, drafting)
  • Solid understanding of mechanical constraints in harsh environments (vacuum, temperature extremes, vibrations)
  • Familiar with additive manufacturing, machining, and general manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of ISO dimensioning standards and technical drawing reading
  • Experience with configuration and PLM/PDM systems (e.g., SolidWorks PDM, 3DExperience)
  • Familiarity with ECSS standards (design rules and material selection)
  • Precise, thorough, and autonomous
  • Strong team spirit and attention to detail
  • Technically curious with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • A genuine interest in space / New Space sector
