The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Site Operations Chief to join the team in Berkeley, MO

Under the direction of the site Deputy Chief, the Site Operations Chief ensures that high quality on-scene management is performed throughout emergency incidents. While on duty, the Site Operations Chief will assume the role of Incident Commander (IC) for on-site emergencies. The Site Operations Chief issues clear and concise directions to fire department operations personnel. Administratively, the Site Operations Chief ensures that emergency incident reports are assigned, completed and reviewed.

The Site Operations Chief position requires the ability to plan, coordinate and execute both non-emergent and emergent events on site. Utilizing a robust understanding of procedural guidance, in conjunction with keen communication skills, the Site Operations Chief shall be integrated with Fire Department Operations, Training and Prevention.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and prioritize scheduled daily activities for all crews at their station, which aligns to the annual site plan 

  • Maintain attendance records in ETS

  • Oversee time sheet submittals by shift leads (where applicable) and proper labor charging in ETS

  • Schedule personnel for overtime requirements and maintain employee overtime records in department approved scheduling database

  • Update overtime list in station and post on a weekly basis

  • Ensure accurate records are properly completed and filed in accordance with EFAP A302

  • Ensure emergency incident reports are finished on the shift the emergency occurs and are complete/thorough with all required information in the report

  • Oversee fire department records for operational requirements 

  • Monitor fire equipment inspection schedules to ensure compliance is aligned to inspection frequency requirements

  • Oversee firefighter training in order to meet objectives of the training program established by the Enterprise

  • Act as Safety Supervisor for fire department operations

  • Ensure NFPA Monthly Station inspections as well as PPE NFPA inspections are complete and documented within ER/ESO

  • Assign available staffing to achieve maximum utilization at minimum cost

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing a team

  • 5+ years of experience conducting inspection and testing of fire protection equipment (Building Sprinkler Systems, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarm Systems, Code/Policy violations, etc.)

  • State, IFSAC or Proboard Firefighter 1 certification

  • State, IFSAC or Proboard Firefighter 2 certification

  • Current National Registry or Missouri State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification

  • Current Hazardous Materials Operations Certification or higher

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Fire Inspector 1 and 2 Certifications

  • Fire Instructor 1 and 2 Certifications

  • Fire Officer 1 and 2 Certification

  • 5+ years of experience in Aircraft Rescue Firefighting

  • Experience as a Brady/Tiscor Administrator

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites

Summary pay range: $100,300 – $135,700
