Summary
 
We have a current opportunity for a Business Development Analyst located at our facility in Chantilly VA office. In this role you will be responsible for creating content and managing multiple unclassified and classified proposals simultaneously for our innovative and creative space-related products and capabilities.
Responsibilities
  • Business Development Support: Contribute to long-term business strategies and market entry plans, identifying new avenues for growth. Support bid submission process from initial contact through contract signing. Maintenance and communication of Business Development pipeline.
 
  • Salesforce: Utilize Salesforce to track leads, opportunities, and sales activities, providing data-driven insights for sales performance. Generate reports and analyze sales data to identify trends, measure performance, and make data-driven decisions. 
 
  • Market Research and Analysis:  Identifying new markets, analyzing competitive landscapes, and understanding customer behavior.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Tracking the progress of new business initiatives, providing insights on market trends, and making recommendations to improve performance. 
     
  • Strategy Development: Creating and implementing plans to pursue new business opportunities, including pricing strategies and sales tactics. Develop user stories, mission use case vignettes, Business development process flows, and process specifications.
 
  • Opportunity Identification: Discovering potential partnerships, acquisitions, or new product/service offerings. Facilitate working sessions to gather input and validate requirements.
  • Communications: Create briefings/reports monthly and communication as necessary to all levels of the team, including Leadership, Engineering, Program Management, Contracts, and others, such as third-party consultants, as needed.
     
  • External Engagement: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders within the defense industry, including DoD program managers and private contractors. 
     
  • Collaboration:  Coordinate with engineering development teams and mission architects to translate requirements into technical deliverables.
    Work with other corporate Redwire functionals, to include contracts, security, cybersecurity, marketing, and finance, to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development strategies. 
 
Requirements
  • B.S./B.A. Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  •  Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Knowledge of market research methodologies and business analysis
    techniques. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. 
  • Eligible for a TS//SCI clearance
  • Salesforce familiarization
  • Cost Point familiarization
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Business Development processes, capture process, and pipeline management
  • Experience with simultaneously managing multiple proposals of all sizes from proposal planning to delivery
  • Proficiency in technical and proposal writing with emphasis in technical products and logistics services
  • Fundamental understanding of the US Gov. and Aerospace prime acquisition process, including proposal instructions and evaluation criteria with a focus on national security-related activities
  • Knowledge of proposal development processes and ability to tell a coherent story with extensive technical information
  • Must be able to independently manage challenging workloads and prioritize changing requirements
 
Desired Skills
  • Previously TS//SCI cleared
  • Sound time management skills, attention to detail, and priority management to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience with Business Development processes, capture process, and pipeline management
  • Familiarization with preparing Proposals Management process
  • Advanced skills in professional presentation generation using PowerPoint
  • Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Word, for the use of proposals, such as formatting, outlining, and graphics integration
  • Background in the US Department of Defense or US Military, Intelligence Community or Aerospace and Defense Industry,
