Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking an experienced Staff Systems Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting our Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a program out of our Aurora, CO office.
Position Overview:
- Responsible for team's implementation of element level requirements and relaying system perspective to development team for how this element works in context of the greater system of systems.
- Interface with all levels of management, employees, and internal and external customers
This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of relevant experience; 10 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 8 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Experience with requirements development, decomposition, software verification, and generating system and segment-level test procedures
- Experience working on Agile programs and methodology
- Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)
- Experience with Cameo and DOORS
- Strong written and oral communications skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical experience developing and fielding command and control systems (TT&C, Flight Dynamics, etc) for Space Systems
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience serving as a team Scrum Master, or an understanding of Agile Scrum Master roles and responsibilities
