SUMMARY

We are looking for a Facilities Technician II who can field stakeholder inquiries and concerns and meet them with timely and quality resolutions. The Facilities Technician will perform repairs and maintenance as needed. Maintenance includes handyman work, spot painting, minor electrical, plumbing and HVAC repairs. They will have the support of our internal facilities department and contractors. The Facilities Technician II will serve as first responder to stakeholders needs and assess how best to handle them.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the internal facilities department and contractors for cross-support.
• Assist in various departments and perform necessary repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Support address, plumbing electrical HVAC and basic carpentry issues as needed.
• Respond to urgent repair request promptly.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• 5-10 years of installation of new electrical fixtures such as receptacles, new light fixtures, running conduit, work with power up to 240v, replacing breakers, replacing a ballast.
• Have some knowledge of plumbing repairs and knowing how to install copper and PVC pipes.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting HVAC systems.
• Be able to work independently.
• Strong communicator

• Expert troubleshooter electrical and mechanical equipment, and repair.
• Plumbing experience is a plus.
• Strong communicator, with a customer-obsessed mindset.
• Ability to operate and handle machinery (forklift, scissor lift, bulldozer, skid steer, etc.), equipment, and tools necessary for maintenance and repair.
• Must be well organized, and keep accurate service and maintenance records
• Maintain a safe work environment by documenting and correcting potential safety issues concerning assembly and material-handling equipment or the facility.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner with co-workers, vendors, and people with various professional backgrounds.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands; climb and carry ladders and work with hand and power tools.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends (On-call).
• Use of computer software systems and electric devices ( Jira ticket system, Smart-sheets, iPads)
