Job description
- Work directly with manufacturing engineering to create and approve methods and procedures for fabricating, inspecting and testing of Aerospace products. Ensure the documentation is detailed and meets Aerospace standards.
- Collect, analyze and summarize data from quality inspections and finding reasons/ getting to root-cause of product problems, utilizing tools such as fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, 8D’s, or other methods.
- Lead Non-conformance investigations with relevant teams
- Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place that comply with AS9100 and ISO9001.
- Ensures that corrective measures meet AS9100 requirements and result in preventing similar defects in future builds.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
- Work may include support of Quality metrics generation and reporting, Cause and Effect analysis, and Program customer interface.
- Work with purchasing to ensure quality requirements are flowed down .
- Other duties, as assigned
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering or related field
- 5+ years of QA Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering experience desired
- Experience may be substituted for education
- Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO9001 standards
- Knowledge of standard Aerospace Industry requirements.
- J-STD-001 Space Addendum knowledge and/or certification
- NASA 8739.1 and/or NAS8739.3 knowledge and/or certification
- Experience with EE and Mechanical Drawings and Schematics
- Quality Assurance Experience in Aerospace or Military Industries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills: ability to clearly communicate technical issues both verbally and produce detailed presentations and reports that are thorough and of high quality
- Understanding of technical documentation and the requirements needed for Aerospace products.
- Self-starter, who strives to continuously improve processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will be considered for higher pay.
