Within the CSG, the Human Exploration and Space Flight (HESF) Division and Civil Space Operation’s Division supports our NASA customer in all aspects of human space flight and deep space exploration program office activities.
We are looking for a Technical Data Integration Analyst for NASA’s Human Landing System’s Space Vehicle Systems office (HLS SVS) . This role will provide resource and technical management of data integration and associated budgetary, technical, and operational reporting for the Space Vehicle Systems office, coordinating across HLS, the Moon to Mars Program, and other agency programs and projects as needed. The Human Landing System (HLS) team is based at Marshall Space Flight Center and oversees partnerships with US industry and provides expert consultation throughout the process of developing a commercially designed, 21st century Human Landing System. The Space Vehicle Systems (SVS) office ensures effective management of NASA’s engineering workforce to execute HLS technical insight responsibilities with HLS partners across fourteen distinct technical disciplines. SVS also serves HLS SE&I, Technical Authorities, and Program Management in evaluating design and construction standard compliance and identifying potential risks across all human lander elements.
Work Model
This is a full-time position based in Huntsville, AL located at the Marshall Space Flight Center. This is an onsite work model that combines 4 regular onsite workdays and remote flexibility as the business needs allow.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with the technical development of strategy for data integration addressing priorities of the SVS office
- Translate and integrate technical, financial, and operational data across SVS into cohesive dashboards
- Support technical budget analysts by establishing Power BI dashboards that accurately reflect the status and allocation of resources, supporting resource management tools and reporting needs
- Define and implement technical reporting structures utilizing Power BI and Power Automate workflows for engineering matrixed support teams
- Provide technical support for release of technical documents, including change requests (CRs) in coordination with internal and external SMEs, other NASA programs and projects, as needed
- Optimize and utilize Jira and Confluence tools to manage and track SVS office tasks, actions, and project milestones
- Provide technical project management and programmatic review support as needed
- Deliver program status briefings, technical documents, and products as required
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify resources, capabilities, and potential risks, providing feedback and updates to key stakeholders
- Support customer requirements as necessary
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or another STEM related field
- At least 1 or more years of technical engineering, business operations, data analysis, and reporting professional experience
- Proficient in Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint, and JIRA
- Ability to effectively utilize oral and written communication to express technical concepts and recommendations to government customers
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with program objectives and timelines
- Willing to travel if required
- This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
