We are seeking a Program Master Planner (PMP) who will be responsible for program and portfolio level plan creation and management at York Space Systems.  The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter that is detail oriented and loves formulating, analyzing, and iterating schedules to contractual requirements and evaluating new opportunities as they arise.  The PMP will report to the program analytics Program Manager, supports the portfolio of program managers to determine the tasks and activities needed to deliver multiple customer programs.  The PMP will also be responsible for coordinating schedules across the company to include production, supply chain, engineering, software and testing. They will help to organize risk management activities and presentation to ensure successful delivery of programs. The PMP provides planning parameters values needed for rough cut and detailed capacity planning, including lead times, yields, success rates, run rates to ensure planners have the correct planning assumptions for production planning and scheduling. The PMP will be a critical member of our York Program Management Organization, contributing to continuous improvement of the management process. The position is ideal for an experienced planner who has developed and managed portfolios of schedules.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule.
  • Work with customer base to determine weekly inbound forecast and develop models to improve accuracy.  
  • Establish key performance indicators of forecast accuracy that align with key program milestones.
  • Ensure the interaction of a firm’s functional managers, and track and maintain the forecast through timely and accurate feedback.
  • Schedule demand based on the product mix and provide accurate commitment dates to customer service team across multiple programs.
  • Assemble master schedule reporting regarding performance to the business plan, the shipment plan, the inventory plan, the production plan, LEOPs and delivery plans.
  • Create and manage schedules for programs and summarize them at the enterprise level.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers to identify resources (human and physical) that are necessary for each program.
  • Help to identify and mitigate risks, look across programs to identify systemic challenges and solution development.
  • Develop strong relationships across the organization through effective communication.
  • Facilitate communication and acceptance of key milestones across the organization using graphics and data products.
  • Engage with program managers effectively through strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Support program managers in customer or supplier engagement if requested.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the program management organization.
     
QUALIFICTAIONS: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or business-related field.
  • Master’s degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project scheduling and analysis.
  • CAM certified.
  • Agile project management certified.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Active US Government secret security clearance preferred.
