Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Field Engineer.  This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do:

We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Field Engineer to support the advanced planning and integration efforts for Sentinel Operational weapon system deployment. This individual will play a key role in strategic concept of operation development across a multi-functional team while ensuring customer requirements are met and cost considerations are adhered to. This role will support the integration of the construction phase of the Sentinel conversion to the weapon system deployment phase to include AVE emplacements. This individual will support trade studies and project estimating for the weapon system life cycle.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications:

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Principal Manufacturing Engineer:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience; or PhD with 1 year of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance in the future.

• Current knowledge of ICBM AVE operations

• 5 years of experience working ICBM-related field operations

• Prior experience deactivating weapon systems

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Experience leading Air Force Missile Handling and/or Missile Maintenance Teams

• Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of various mechanical systems

• Possess a technical knowledge of ICBM-class Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) components and associated support equipment.

• Experience with nuclear surety requirements and codes handling to allow for cross functional coordination

Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $118,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
