Summary
We have an opportunity for a Project Manager II at our facility in Longmont, CO. In this role you will be responsible for managing a team of technical leads to develop space-based products and systems. 
Responsibilities
  • Lead technically complex projects in accordance with contractual requirements, project scope and risk tolerance
  • Develop project budgets, detailed schedules and associated spend plans and provide monthly variance reporting on ETC and EAC
  • Facilitates the decision-making process to progress actions and tasks towards meeting aggressive milestones, deliverables, and cost targets
  • Create monthly revenue forecasts aligning with project schedule, material receipts, build and test activity
  • Manage project revenue and margins commiserate with Redwire profitability milestones
  • Perform data mining and analysis for monthly reports and revenue forecasting
  • Coordinate with resource managers to obtain and maintain appropriate staffing for project execution and on time delivery
  • Manage risk identification, monitor programmatic and technical risks and proactively prepare for project issues by establishing mitigation activities
  • Communicate program execution health and risk assessment on regular intervals to Redwire Leadership and customer teams
  • Execute projects in accordance with internal QMS and AS9100 requirements
  • Identifies and addresses project technical and programmatic problems and collaborates with team to recommend resolution to ensure successful project completion
  • Coordinate with lead and project engineers to assist in the technical leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary staff
  • Support Redwire growth objectives by establishing proposal scope of work, cost and schedule estimates for new and derivative aerospace products
  • Simultaneous management of multiple subcontractors and other technical partners in the pursuit of project objectives
Ideal Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in an Engineering, Engineering Management, or other technical field. With 8 or more years of experience in space, aerospace, defense or product development and manufacturing fields. With prior experience as a technical project manager leading structural or electromechanical hardware programs
  • Experience managing complex schedules and budgets in support of large development programs with an emphasis on IMS and critical path management, labor and non-labor planning, baseline change control and variance analysis
  • Project management experience from initial requirements development though Project Status Report (PSR) and customer integration
  • Experienced in root cause and corrective action processes to address project technical issues  
  • Prior experience leading multi-functional teams through project life cycles from requirements release, design reviews, manufacturing readiness, build, test, delivery, and follow on integration support

  • Basic technical understanding and experience leading RF projects.
  • Mastery of the ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, drive innovative thinking, install collaboration drive for success and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations
  • Experienced at building strong collaborative customer relationships
  • Achievement of Project Management Professional and/or Scrum Master certifications
  • Flexible with exceptional organization skills and excels in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about continuous improvement of project management processes. 
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence with the ability to understand and manage your own emotions as well as recognize and influence emotions of those around you.  
  • Experienced at verbal and written communication internally throughout the leadership structure and externally with customer.
  • Expert with Microsoft Project, Excel, and other company collaboration tools

Pay range: $118,000 - $155,000

How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)
Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth.  Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will be considered higher pay.
