DETAILS:

We’re on the hunt for an Engineering Student interested in project management for our Mission Operations Department at our Brampton office. This is a Fall 2025 start, for a 12 - 16 months co-op. 

 

The Engineering Student will help on the Canadarm3 program with project management and engineering duties which could include:

  • Supporting the coordination of tasks, deliverables, and actions between various teams
  • Supporting and documenting process updates
  • Leading meetings and initiatives with key company and customer stakeholders
  • Documenting lessons learned across the program
  • Leading the updates on the internal confluence page and MDA website
  • Implementing tools and resources to assist with project support
  • Managing assigned projects to meet resource, time, and quality requirements
  • Supporting initiatives with lead members on the program
  • Some clerical tasks related to Crown property management and tracking.  

 

Overall the successful candidate would be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date. The candidate will document their work and participate in system level technical discussions when required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Interested candidates should be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Systems, Engineering Physics, or Computer Engineering and/or Applied Mathematics, Science or Physics.

  • Experience and strong interest in project management
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • A strong ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as a member of a team is required.
  • Experience with team leadership, task estimating and monitoring.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills are essential to this position.

 

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).

The compensation range for this position is $24 - $27 hourly. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
