Description
Reusable launch systems are the key to seamlessly connecting Earth and space. As the Manager of Business Management & Finance you will be responsible for managing the financials and supporting proposal activities for Government program execution and pursuits. You will report directly to the COO and ensure compliance and successful execution. As part of a small, well-supported team, you will have access to the resources you need to get the job done right while simultaneously boosting your skills at a pace that can’t be matched in most other roles. You must be ready to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams in utilizing and tailoring earned value management practices
- Utilize and report government rate structures based upon Federal Acquisition Regulations and policies/processes to adhere to regulations
- Lead cost volume preparation for government proposals
- Oversee accounting and reporting of government contract costs and revenues
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end federal business financial close activities
- Work with the finance and business management teams to develop strategies to improve financial performance based on metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field of study and 8 years’ related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Financial Planning and Reporting including supporting monthly actuals and forecasts, Annual Operating Plans, and Long-Range Strategic Plans
- Understanding of Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and the Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR)
- Experience building Government contracting and accounting best practices from the ground up
- Proposal development and cost volume / pricing experience
- Risk analysis experience
- Extensive experience and a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly to various stakeholders
- Deep business acumen with strong data analysis skills
- Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
- Possesses strong leadership and communication skills, ability to counsel, coach, develop, and motivate staff of professionals
- Self-starter with demonstrated history of ownership and accountability
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a capacity to identify issues and implement effective solutions
- Team player with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Compensation
Target Levels:
- Level 4 Range: $106,900 - $178,000
- Level 5 Range: $129,600 - $240,800
