The National Systems Group serves as the technical advisor to the Intelligence Community and its mission partners involved in the collection and distribution of national and tactical intelligence, including electronics programs, advanced technologies, ground and communications, imagery programs, and systems engineering and launch.
Within the National Systems Group, the Systems Engineering & Launch Division (SELD) is seeking a motivated Senior Project Leader to lead Aerospace contributions to the Enterprise Portfolio Manager charged with the SIGINT Capability Area within the customer's Systems Engineering Directorate. The SIGINT Enterprise Integration Lead (Senior Project Leader – Enterprise Systems Engineering) contributes to customer and Aerospace activities for end-to-end architecture, engineering, analysis and cross-enterprise integration for the customer SIGINT architecture.
Work Model
This is a full-time position based in Chantilly, Virginia, which requires 100% onsite work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing senior leadership to the SIGINT Enterprise Portfolio Manager in key functional areas, including enterprise integration of mission systems, identification and mitigation of system/enterprise/joint risks, development and execution of system verification, validation, and test concepts, and assessment of system performance.
- Providing day-to-day situational awareness of issues and efforts across the SIGINT customer portfolio and offering advice and counsel as a trusted direct-support advisor to the designated customer lead.
- Assisting the customer to shape and enable the comprehensive SIGINT portfolio of effort underway in prioritization, planning, oversight and execution of advancement and capability development activities.
- Developing and delivering enterprise-level assessments against SIGINT activities and offering specific plans of action or mitigation against emerging issues directly to the SIGINT customer with a focus on end-to-end capability delivery:
- Providing problem framing and execution oversight to analytic studies aligned to SIGINT activities;
- Enabling the development and maturation of architectural options and recommendations to resolve the complex set of SIGINT challenges;
- Supporting and managing enterprise engineering tasks necessary for aligned lifecycle oversight and readiness activities, capability adoption, and operational integration efforts.
- Collaborating across other SED customer portfolios with their respective Aerospace integration leads, as well as across the full Aerospace customer and technical matrix backplane, to provide broader awareness and synchronization of enterprise engineering, architecting, and analysis efforts.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements - Senior Project Leader- Enterprise Systems Engineering:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or an appropriate technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience.
- Relevant technical, programmatic, and operational domain experience.
- Experience within multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments, including the ability to lead efforts and work across architectural, engineering, and analytic domains and across all phases of development, design, and system acquisition.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior customer leadership and successfully function within mixed teams comprised of senior government, FFRDC, and SETA personnel.
- Willing to travel occasionally to remote work locations or customer sites.
- This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
