Northrop Grumman, Strategic Space Systems Division, has an opening for a Nurse 3 to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.
Functional responsibilities include:
Provide occupational health nursing services to employees or persons who become ill or suffer a work related or non-work related injury
Performs case management for work related and non-work related injuries and illnesses collaborating with Environmental, Health and Safety.
Attends to subsequent dressings of injuries; maintains records of persons treated; Administers company policy in regards to Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace-coordinating drug/alcohol testing (post incident and for cause), Administers required immunizations and vaccinations, Assists with OSHA required medical surveillance exams (audiometric, respiratory, vision and urine collection).
Screens employees for return to work clearance collaborating with the leave of absence desk
Prepares reports and assists with development of medical procedures and/or protocols.
Supports Corporate Health & Wellness Programs (blood drives, health fair and flu shots).
Provides health education information; dispenses standard drugs and medicines such as aspirin and cough or cold tablets; refers contagious diseases or serious injuries to company or employee’s physician and may assist company doctor, Assist with medical equipment and supplies are maintained, sanitized and ready for use at all times.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of additional education and/or related experience
Current AED and CPR certifications
Registered Nurse with the State Board of Nursing
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree
Registered nurse with 5 years of nursing experience
Certified in audio and spirometer testing
Experience with Cal/OSHA reporting and assessment standards
Occupational Health nursing experience
