Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems looking for an experienced Principal / Sr. Principal Project Manager to join the Sentinel program in enhancing the US Space Force’s ICBM capabilities and ushering in a new era of Strategic Deterrence. As a Principal/Sr. Principal Project Manager you will perform a critical role in the success of the Sentinel program. The candidate will be responsible for project management duties for SEIT on the Sentinel program. This position is located in Roy, UT.
What You’ll Get To Do
Candidate will help drive execution and must be able to effectively communicate with upper-level leadership and across all elements and sub-elements within SEIT as well as coordinate with other program and SDS division leaders. A successful track record of program performance, interpersonal team building skills, and management experience is highly desired. Candidates will be a good fit if they bring experience related to any of the following duties:
- Coordination with program assignment managers to understand staffing requirements
- Team building
- Project Execution
- Integrate and manage between program Segments, and supporting functional teams by performing tactical day to day operations
- Performing work related to planning, monitoring, and controlling work scope within your assigned program area.
- Review status of projects and budget, manage schedules, assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objective.
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring and reporting project progress and for intervention and problem solving with senior management and managers.
- Coordinate schedules, and provide liaison assistance between the interfacing IPTs
- Ensure IPT compliance with program processes and procedures and implement improvements.
- Coordinate and prepare executive and customer presentations.
- Evaluate and report health/execution metrics for the IPT.
- Facilitate, coordinate and track preparation and submission of contract and other data deliverables to the customer.
- Coordinate and manage efforts surrounding key program events.
- Collaboration and communication
- Regular day to day contact with Segment and/or Function Leadership
- Coordinates with the integration team on day-to-day activities. Resolves complex process issues.
- Other duties as assigned

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Project Manager: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 5 years of relevant experience or master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience or 1 years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of degree.
Sr. Principal Project Manager: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 8 years of relevant experience or master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience or 4 years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of degree.
- At least five years of experience in leading project or cross-functional teams.
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance at the time of application with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
- At least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
- Experience in DoD programs
- Proficiency in data manipulation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated Project Management experience.
- PMP Certification
- Demonstrated experience using SAP, Windows software packages, Atlassian Tool Suite, and other electronic databases.
- Proficiency in (SQL) and or Power Query
- Agile Development
- Capable of working with minimal direction, independently determines and develops technical objectives of assignments, and presents work upon completion for high level review.
- Ability to provide and implement solutions to advanced problems which require ingenuity and innovation.
