We’re on the hunt for a Test Engineer on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.
Role:
The test engineer will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop state-of-the-art test stations to automate the production of geostationary or constellation antennas. You will be part of a specialized test team to ensure that once in orbit, antenna performance meets customer requirements and delivers the communications service required for the mission.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with design team
- Analysis of test requirements
- Definition of test methods and techniques
- Definition of test and test data processing resources
- Drafting of test plans, procedures and reports
- Development of software applications and automatic RF test and measurement procedures
- Coding and validation of test sequences
- Test follow-up and operations support according to required specialization:
- RF in PIM, Nearfield or Compact Test Range
- RF in Active Electronics, Burn-In
- Power in Electronic Power Converters
- Metrology in flight unit alignment
- Mechanics for thermal testing
- Planning and coordination of test activities and team of technicians.
Minimum Qualifications required :
- Sc. or equivalent in electrical engineering or physics.
- The candidate must have a background in electrical engineering or physics with a strong foundation in electromagnetics or microwaves, as well as good programming skills.
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Motivated individual with a sense of initiative, good team coordination skills and a desire to improve test techniques
Comments/Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
