Manufacturing Planner (Experienced or Lead)

The Boeing Space Launch Systems (SLS) team is seeking a Manufacturing Planner located in Kennedy Space Center, FL. 

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including experienced and senior level planners.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead department/organization processes for developing, implementing and maintaining various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration

  • Develop and plan manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives

  • Prepare build analyses and cost estimate reports

  • Lead integration of complex suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements

  • Participate in source selection to ensure manufacturing requirements are met

  • Develop complex tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements

  • Manage tooling from initial design to end of use disposition

  • Lead investigation and resolution of complex or systemic manufacturing related issues

  • Lead teams performing producibility assessments of design concepts

  • Supports enterprise level benchmarking to incorporate best practices

  • Lead development of complex work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments

  • Develop scheduling templates for use by others

  • Draft, update and review processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements

  • Develop and document new job practices, techniques and standards

  • Work under minimal direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with ME processes and procedures including Manufacturing Execution System Computer Aided Process Planning

  • 5+ years of experience with engineering drawings for conformance to materials & process requirements and manufacturing producibility

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Technical Bachelor's, Master's or a PhD degree(A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study)

NASA Access:

This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range Experienced, level 3: $65,450 - $88,550

Summary pay range Lead, level 4: $76,500 - $103,500
