Join Our Dynamic HR Team as a Human Resources Administrator!

We're seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Human Resources Administrator to join our Robotics and Space Operations HR team on a 12-month contract basis. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in managing day-to-day administration and coordination activities, ensuring seamless HR operations, and providing exceptional support to our employees and managers.

About the Role:

As an HR Administrator, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee data, coordinating HR administrative tasks, and providing first-level support for employee inquiries. You'll also have the opportunity to develop and implement process improvements, analyze HR data, and contribute to special projects and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain electronic, physical, and HRMS employee records in compliance with company policies and applicable legislation
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of employee data, including new hires, promotions, and terminations
  • Provide exceptional onboarding experiences for new employees, including welcome presentations and benefits orientations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters
  • Prepare routine reports for audit purposes, reviewing data for validity and taking corrective action as needed
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics and analytics to inform business decisions
  • Coordinate special events, such as Take Your Kids to Work day and training sessions
  • Collaborate with HR team members to develop and implement process improvements
  • Provide administrative support for recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration

Requirements and Preferences:

  • 2+ years of experience in human resources or a related field, with a strong customer service orientation
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with HR analytics, HRMS systems, and time and attendance systems is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work independently, and collaborate with team members
  • Experience in a unionized environment is an asset

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.

The compensation range for this position is $52,000-60-000 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
