Software Developer – Geospatial UI & 3D

Inside Leonardo Space Division we are looking for a Software Developer – Geospatial UI & 3D based in Roma plant.

Job Responsibilities:

Design and implement user interfaces for geospatial data representation and 2D/3D visualization

Draft/review technical documentation and presentations.

Education:

Bachelor or Master Degree in Software Engineering

Preference will be given to candidates holding a PhD.

Seniority:

Junior: 0-1 years.

Preference will be given to Master Thesis on subjects crossed to specific key competencies (see below).

Key Competencies:

Proficient in UI development using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) for geospatial data visualization

Hands-on experience with 2D frameworks like openlayers and leafleat for interactive mapping is a plus

Hands-on experience with 3D frameworks like kepler.gl, Deck.gl, and Cesium for interactive mapping is a plus

Knowledge of designing and integrating RESTful APIs

Knowledge of Geospatial API such as OGC WMS, STAC is a plus

Familiar with geospatial libraries and mapping tools to enhance user experience

Willingness to design and implement innovative geospatial and 3D data visualization prototypes
